Review: & Other Stories Beauty Products

Summer is all around us. It’s the perfect time to start something new. I am inspired to share with you my first review of a brand that I use in the new section of my blog “Lifestyle’ . Everybody that knows me is aware that I love cosmetics. I like to discover new products all the time.  This passion was boosted by my mother who was selling beauty products from home in her spare time as a hobby. I remember coming home and finding huge packages full of new products waiting to be delivered to her clients a.k.a friends. The joy of opening such boxes and discovering the items inside was priceless. Nowadays she is sending me packages that always include at least 1 beauty product. Now you know how my passion for cosmetics started. Are you ready for my beauty journey?

Today I present to you & Other Stories, the Scandinavian brand under the H&M Group that stole my heart with it’s simplicity, beauty, minimalism and Nordic touch. They are famous mainly for the clothing, the unique shoes, bags and jewelry (material for another blog post :D). Nevertheless every time I go to their shop I find more and more quality beauty products. Pinterest-worthy packaging, good quality and affordable price tag. These are my top 3 requirements. A bonus is the luxurious vibe around them.

Cotton Care Nainsook Body Oil

Description: ”A fast absorbing body oil that helps soften, strengthen, protect and moisturise skin. It contains a silken blend of Cottonseed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E and Argan Oil.”

Opinion: This product is the star of the bodycare collection. I simply love it. It’s fast absorbing, doesn’t make my skin oily, just adds a soft glow and delicate smell. It’s the perfect partner in crime of a short dress.

Cotton Care Body Lotion

Description: “Ultra-hydrating lotion enriched with cottonseed oil and vitamin E, for soft and luscious skin.”

Opinion: This lotion leaves my skin very hydrated. I would prefer less stronger smell, but overall my skin is soft and happy.

Botanic Whisper Eau de Toilette

Description: “Vivid orange blossoms tinged with coriander.”

Opinion: I have difficulties to find a nice fragrance for myself that doesn’t suffocate me with its strong smell. I prefer basic smells of flowers or spices. The Botanic Whisper is very feminine and clean, exactly what I searched for.

Company Values: great packaging, environmental goals and recycling program, strictly against animal testing.

What do you think about & Other Stories? I would love to hear your comments and personal stories.

  1. I had no idea they carried anything except clothes. What a fun find. I’m going to have to check out the lotion. We have harsh winters here, which always leaves skin dry and cracked. Thanks.

  2. These products sound amazing! I especially love how The Botanic Whisper spray sounds. I too am not a fan of over-powering scents and it sounds amazing. For winters in here in Minnesota, the body oil sounds perfect. I’m definitely going to look into it! Thanks for all the great info. πŸ™‚

  5. Wow! Amazing review. I had no idea that H&M had this, thought it was only wear. Will have to go instore and see if they have it here at this branch. Love the fact that it’s all natural. Hope they have it here in SA.
